Changing your default iPhone SSH root password in 3 easy steps

Things you will need:

  1. Jailbroken iPhone
  2. Cydia / Icy / Rock
  3. Terminal Apps (See Step 1 on installing the app)

Step 1:
Install Terminal by using Cydia > Search: MobileTerminal
Click the “Install” button at the top right hand corner of the screen.

Step 2:
Click Terminal and type the commands: su root

Step 3:
The default password is: alpine
Change it to whatever you like.
